The North American South Asian Bar Association (“NASABA”) congratulates Vijay “Jay” Gandhi on his appointment as Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Mr. Gandhi, a former President of the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California (“SABA-SC”) is a long time supporter of the South Asian Bar locally and nationally. After being sworn in on April 14, 2010, Mr. Gandhi will become the first Indian-American federal judge in the Central District and only the second Indian-American federal judge across the United States.
The Central District of California is considered the largest district in the nation and is comprised of the seven counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura.
