Inderpreet Sawhney is a partner with The Chugh Firm and concentrates her practice on the formation of start-up companies, transactional law, computer law and general corporate matters, specializing in representing companies in the information technology area. Ms. Sawhney is also a corporate immigration attorney and advises corporate clients in the area of business immigration law. Ms. Sawhney founded and is a partner in charge at the Firm's Santa Clara office. She is actively involved in community issues. She has been a founding member of the board of NASABA and currently serves on NASABA as the President Elect and has been a board member of SABA Northern California since 2002, and was the President of SABA (South Asian Bar Association of Southern California) 2001-02 and was a board member of APABA (Asian Pacific American Bar Association) 2001-02. She also serves on the board of Pratham USA, Northern California Prior to joining The Chugh Firm, Ms. Sawhney worked as an in-house counsel for ITC, Limited in Calcutta, India for five years and briefly as the Legal Adviser for Oracle Corporation in New Delhi, India. Ms. Sawhney received her Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Delhi. She received her Bachelors of Law degree also from the University of Delhi.
