Located in Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Kumar has been a practicing attorney for the past 20 years. Originally practicing in the Hartford, Connecticut area, she has been practicing in Georgia for the past 11 years. Ms. Kumar’s areas of practice include: business and commercial real estate acquisitions, complex corporate transactions, shareholder and partnership representation; estate and succession planning for closely held and family-owned businesses. Her client list includes entrepreneurs, technology and service companies. Ms. Kumar is currently on the Executive Committee of the North American South Asian Bar Association (NASABA), serving as its President. She is a past member of the Board of Trustees of the NASABA Foundation. Ms. Kumar is also a Charter Member of TIE-Atlanta and serves as Co-Chair of its Women's Committee. Ms. Kumar recently completed a two year appointment to the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia. Ms. Kumar is a Past President and Board member of the IndusBar of Georgia and an active member of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers (GAWL). Ms. Kumar is a member of the American Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association and the Georgia Bar Association. Attorney Kumar has also practiced as a securities and municipal bond lawyer representing public and private companies, securities firms, financial advisors and issuers of tax-exempt bonds. Ms. Kumar graduated with high honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law in West Hartford, Connecticut. She received her B.A. (cum laude) from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey.
